Our third and perhaps most challenging but interesting role is that of a problem solver. Although some cases go to litigation, we always seek out an amicable settlement first. Our clients look to us as trusted advisors as our knowledge of the regions where we work is not limited to the law. We have contacts in strategic positions in the administration and government which places us in a unique position to find alternative solutions and negotiate settlements. We are currently working on a multi-billion-dollar breach of investment agreement claim, negotiating with the top-level ministerial authorities to find a settlement. These negotiations were only possible because of our involvement and relationship locally.
